The Feast of the Redeemer is one of the most heartfelt holidays by the Venetians, which combines a religious and the spectacular, thanks to the spectacular fireworks on the night of Saturday, attracting thousands of visitors: the unbeatable backdrop of Basin St. Marco plays of light and reflections produce a kaleidoscope of color that stands behind the steeples, domes and bell towers of the city.
Tradition dictates that at sunset the boats, decorated with boughs and bright and colorful balloons, begin congregating in Saint Mark's Basin and the Giudecca Canal.
In the boats people eat a hearty dinner of traditional Venetian dishes waiting for the firework display that starts at 23.30 and lasts until after midnight.
Regata Storica

Festa della Salute - Venezia
Festa della Salute is celebrated every year on November 21 in Venice in honor of Our Lady of Health, which is dedicated the Basilica, which stands on the Grand Canal.
On the occasion of this celebration thousands of people march in procession along the bridge votivocostruito on the Grand Canal, up the high altar of the imposing Salute Church, to celebrate the secular bond that ties the city's gratitude to the Virgin Mary for her intercession against the plague that afflicted the city.The Festa della Salute, as the Redeemer, it evokes the terrible plague that decimated the inhabitants of Venice, for the period 1630-31.
The Doge of the time gave a vote to ask the intercession of the Virgin and the end of the plague. When the city escaped the ruins of a temple was built thanks to the Madonna, the present church of Our Lady of Health.
